Here are 2 of my experiences….

One of the first experiences I recall……I was in grade 9 at the time.

I woke up during the middle of the night because the side of my face was wet, which was really odd. I lifted my head up off the pillow and although I knew I wouldn’t be able to see anything due to the dark, it’s still a natural reaction to look. I could feel the wetness along the side of my face and my pillow was quite dark in the wet spot. That’s when I noticed my nose was bleeding. Odd.

I went to the bathroom, stopped my nose from bleeding and cleaned my face off.

Returning to bed and moving my pillow out of the way, I laid facing the wall.  My back was towards the bedroom door.

Further into the house, I heard footsteps on the hardwood floor, which I thought was my mom coming to check on me.

The footsteps stopped in the living room, which is carpeted, and then begun again on the hardwood floor near my bedroom and then into my room. They stopped at the side of my bed. I really didn’t want to be bothered so I just laid there, waiting for my mom to say something or return to her room. I laid there……waiting for her to leave, what seemed like hours….she never left….?

It didn’t feel right, something was different.  I laid there, not moving…

The sun came up and I heard my mom coming from the other part of the house to get me up for school. What the? She was never in my room! No one had been in my room! I told her what had happened and she brushed it off as me having a bad dream. I know I wasn’t dreaming, I was awake the whole time.

There have been other experiences, which I have brushed off
but let’s jump to the summer of 2014.

Alone in my bed sleeping, I woke up to “someone” lifting me up off my bed, 2-3inches up, and turning me sideways. I was in the middle of turning sideways when I was woken up. As I was lowered down, I was wide awake! Oh ya, that kind of thing will do that to you!

I was wide awake and felt really weird. The best way I can describe that “weird” feeling is…..You know that feeling when you’ve been riding a bike or running for long period of time…..and then you stop. But, your muscle memory wants to keep going, so your legs feel funny when you walk? That’s how my body felt, like it wanted to keep turning.

I returned to my normal position and tried not to think about it. Another unusual thing…..I wasn’t scared. Why wasn’t I scared? I don’t have a clue, I just wasn’t.

Laying there and then all of a sudden….it happened again! But this time I was wide awake! When I was lowered, I said in a calm voice, “Seriously? Not tonight. I just want to sleep.”. That “weird” feeling of wanting to turn was present.

What did it feel like to be lifted? It didn’t feel like anything. I didn’t feel anything actually pick me up, I mean, there were no hands or arms….or any types of pressure from anything lifting me up. It was Antigravity?

An hour went by and nothing else happened. So I fell asleep.

  1. I haven’t had anything like that happen, not that I can remember. But while working Nights in a nursing home, I’ve felt a ‘funny’ feeling and saw what I call spirits. I told my manager and he said I should get more sleep, hahaha. All of the night shift workers have said the same thing though. Once I saw someone (I thought it was a patient) enter a bathroom and I went in to check on them to see if she needed help. I entered the bathroom and it was empty. And I got that weird feeling. I told the Health Care Aides that were on, and they said they’d seen ‘someone’ too that night. It looked like a woman in a white almost transparent nightgown. Lol, I know that sounds ridiculous. But it is true.

    1. Good to know! If I ever need to use the washroom at a hospital, I’ll be sure to ignore the “person” sitting on the toilet, as I stand there, unzip, whip it out and ………..probably just a ghost anyway,…right?
