Turning Homelessness into an Adventure

Turning Homelessness into an Adventure

Over the past 4 years I have been nomadic and never staying in one place for very long.

I know many of you have lived vicariously through me,
thank-you!

…. but honestly it hasn’t been easy because 99% of you don’t know…. I was also homeless 4 times.  (not by choice but due to a divorce that cost me everything and not being able to see my kids. *A story for some other time that started 11 years ago…and sadly continues to this day )

I tried to maintain a positive outlook by never writing about my homelessness or ever mentioning it to anyone. Instead, I turned those homeless times into an adventure and ran with it to the best of my ability.

It was through my blog & photos that I had hoped to inspire others to go live life….

I’ve lived in MB, AB, BC and travelled all over the Continent by Truck, Motorcycle, on Foot, converted Camper Van, and even lived out of a Kayak for a bit.  It’s taken me all the way from the Northern Tip of Vancouver Island to Florida’s Gulf of Mexico, and everything in between.

One day I hope to write a book about my many amazing adventures which will also include how I ended up homeless, how I hid it, and finally what has become of One Canadian’s Journey.

I’m also leaving FB to pursue a life that doesn’t include all the social media that has come to rule so many lives.

It will be far and few between, but I will continue to blog my adventures as they come, so I hope you continue to follow.

…. and remember…
